Home care providers interested in the role technology can play with caregivers and other staff may want to tune into McKnight’s Senior Living Online Expo on June 17. A session titled “Empowering your workforce through technology” will kick off the fifth annual event.

The session, which will begin at 11 a.m. ET, will highlight how electronic health records technology can empower an organization’s workforce to be more efficient to keep residents happier, healthier and more independent.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • Improve communication across the organization.
  • Quickly identify trends or resident changes in condition.
  • Empower care providers to make more informed clinical decisions.
  • Enable staff to spend more time with residents versus charting.
  • Facilitate seamless transitions of care.

Speaking will be Tracey Beattie, RHIA, CCS-P, RAC-CT, an American Health Information Management Association-approved ICD-10-CM trainer and a senior implementation consultant and team lead for MatrixCare.

Additional sessions during the McKnight’s Senior Living Online Expo will cover workforce issues and falls prevention. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn up to three continuing education credits.

The virtual doors to the free online event will open at 10:30 a.m. ET, providing attendees with the chance to network with peers and visit the online exhibition hall featuring products and services from companies serving the senior living profession. Webinar attendees also will be able to visit the booths before and after the CE sessions.
