Following a unanimous vote by its board of directors, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice issued a statement calling on the organization “to take the necessary steps and actions to promote and support a home care and hospice community that is a model for equality and justice.”
Toward this goal, the organization has:
• Established a Home Care and Hospice Diversity Task Force to ensure that NAHC actions remain consistent with its statement;
• Enacted a diversity and inclusion policy to guide NAHC operations and governance; and
• Initiated a comprehensive home care and hospice community education plan to secure and maintain diversity and inclusion.
