A new online resource library launched Monday connects organizations serving older adults and their caregivers with programs and services that can help during public emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.

Search. Find. Help. includes a variety of resources ranging from tip sheets to prepare older adults for public emergencies to tools that help identify community members who may need support following a disaster. The library is funded by the CDC Foundation, the research organization NORC at the University of Chicago and communications agency Burness.

“Community organizations are a lifeline for older adults and for their caregivers during public health emergencies like COVID-19. Search. Find. Help. is a searchable online library that connects organizations to hundreds of existing resources that can help older adults and caregivers,” Alycia Bayne, principal research scientist in the Public Health Research Department at NORC said. “There is an urgent need to raise awareness about these valuable resources.”

The resources available through Search. Find. Help. were identified through an extensive search of publicly available literature to identify programs, policies, and strategies that support the physical and mental health of older adults and their caregivers during COVID-19 and other public health emergencies.
