Almost three-fourths of home care organizations with more than 500 employees, and 61% overall, plan to require COVID-19 vaccinations, an Axxess survey of thousands of home care and hospice organizations has found.

Also, approximately one-third of the respondents indicated that COVID-19 concerns do not increase staff turnover. Of those experiencing increased staff turnover, however, risking exposure to COVID-19 was cited as a cause among 14% overall, with fewer than 10% among larger organizations (500+ employees) indicating that it was a factor.

Approximately 55% of large-organization respondents (29% overall) indicated that they have started a telemonitoring program in response to COVID-19, whereas 22% of large-organization respondents (10% overall) said they already had one in place.

Another important priority for respondents was diversity and inclusion, with 90% of large-organization respondents, and 70% overall, reporting that their organizations planned to increase staff resources for those objectives in 2021.
