As vice president of business strategy at Senior Lifestyle, Jodi Hill sets the platform for how the company reviews and reports on data and which key performance indicators are the leading drivers of success for company operations and employee retention and satisfaction.

Hill began her career as a Persian Farsi linguist with the National Guard, completing one tour in Afghanistan. She remained in the National Guard for 12 years, developing skill sets in data science that she parlayed into a career across the retail, manufacturing and healthcare industries. She used those skills as a consultant, specializing in software implementation and designing integrated solutions to streamline analysis between systems.

Hill entered the senior living and care industry when she joined Chicago-based Senior Lifestyle to develop an integrated data platform. She worked on software development and data integration across all enterprise level solutions.

Hill started at Senior Lifestyle as a department of one, expanding her team to eight, covering every aspect of the company — sales, marketing, accounting, operations, acquisitions, dining and resident care. She and her team now are focused on implementing electronic health records and medication management in all Senior Lifestyle communities.

During her tenure at Senior Lifestyle, she earned a master’s degree in predictive analytics from DePaul University and a master’s degree in public policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago. She also earned a master’s degree in health economics and policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
