Kim Te Brugge has been serving the healthcare community for more than 20 years — and across two countries.

Te Brugge was born in Canada and began there as a licensed nursing home administrator. She worked multiple different jobs before moving to the U.S. and joining The Goodman Group. There, she first served in roles such as executive director and regional director of operations before assuming her current position of vice president of senior living and healthcare.

Te Brugge oversees operations for The Goodman Group’s portfolio of 36 managed communities and two home healthcare agencies. During her tenure, she has helped the communities collect numerous awards.

Some of them include a Bronze Award in the Senior Living track of the McKnight’s Excellence in Technology in 2018, the Foundation for Post-Acute & Long-Term Care Medicine’s Quality Improvement & Health Outcome Awards in 2019, and having facilities on the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Nursing Homes list from 2014 to 2021. The Goodman Group also has been awarded American Health Care Association / National Center for Assisted Living Silver and Bronze Achievement in Quality Awards from 2011 to 2020 and made SeniorAdvisor.com’s Best of Assisted Living list from 2017 to 2021.

In addition to recognition for quality of care and services, Te Brugge’s facilities are recognized as great places to work. For three consecutive years, The Goodman Group was recognized as one of the Top 150 Workplaces in Minnesota by the Star Tribune. Under her leadership, The Goodman Group also received Employee-Approved Awards and/or Customer-Approved Awards from healthcare intelligence firm NRC Health in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Te Brugge is described by colleagues as a mission-focused and strategic leader. She is committed to providing “Platinum Service,” a Goodman Group trademark and the company’s customer service philosophy, colleagues point out.
