Leisure Care is going to launch an innovative recruitment effort: a paid internship program for college students and recent graduates.
The Seattle-based firm’s Discover Program will allow students to be immersed in different departments across Leisure Care’s 52 communities while also participating in big-picture operations. Its goal is to foster new career opportunities in both the company and the field.
“Our team members will work with the students to shape the program to fit their interests, all while giving them tools to be fulfilled, motivated, and empowered to do great things in their careers,” said Erin Mahin, who created the Discover program.
Interns also will be exposed to the firm’s Three-Thirds Lifestyle philosophy. The concept emphasizes family, philanthropy and work, according to the firm.
