Angel Floro

The owner of an Arkansas senior living community has been sentenced to 75 days in jail and 12 years of probation after being convicted of sexually assaulting two residents.

Angel Floro, 71, has pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree sexual assault.

The Bentonville Police Department said it began investigating Floro in March 2016. A female resident told officers Floro had “entered her room and touched her in a sexual manner,” according to a news release issued by the department. The resident said she had experienced similar events twice before and that another female resident also had been affected by Floro’s actions. Later that month, another female resident told detectives that Floro had “committed a deviate sexual act against her,” the department’s release added.

He was arrested in April 2016.

Floro’s wife allegedly asked residents to sign a petition calling for criminal charges to be dropped.

Judge Brad Karren ordered Floro not to have any contact with the victims or the facility. Floro also will have to register as a sex offender. The New Adams House has 24 licensed beds, according to the Arkansas Department of Human Services.
