It’s Never 2 Late will be exhibiting its new Focus tablet during the LeadingAge Annual Meeting and Expo. The company will be in Booths 804 and 1344.

The tablet includes programming for education, spirituality, music, games, exercise and more, all launched with applications designed with the senior user experience in mind.

“We’ve re-imagined the curation and delivery of purposeful, person-centered content that recognizes and responds to the unique needs, abilities and preferences of residents in assisted living communities — individually, in group settings and one-on-one with caregivers and loved ones,” said iN2L CEO Tom Bang.

In addition, the device features video chat, photo-sharing, text and email, all designed to ease communication and socialization between residents and their loved ones.

Front Porch retirement, active adult living and affordable housing communities were early beta testers of the Focus tablets and the first adopters of them. Front Porch residents and staff members have logged more than 30,000 hours using various iN2L formats this year.

“iN2L Focus promotes social connectedness, as well as cognitive activity, among all of our residents, enhancing the way we deliver meaningful care,” said Davis Park, director of the Front Porch Center for Innovation and Wellbeing.

The technology also includes a mobile digital tool to aid staff members in care workflow and resident engagement. Caregivers can send announcements and notifications and can configure device settings for each resident per their clinical needs and demographic interests.

“We found that caregivers from any department could pick up iN2L Focus and use it easily to engage a resident one-on-one,” said Cameo Rogers, life enrichment coordinator for Vetter Health Services. “It has been a positive relationship-building tool.”
