Spectrum Retirement Communities will use HeartLegacy’s technology to connect residents with their family members through video and will capture residents’ life story videos through Daphne, AL-based HeartLegacy’s Life Story Program, the companies announced Monday.
Through the effort, Spectrum aims to increase resident engagement and family communication and help residents preserve their legacies, but it will bolster digital marketing efforts and could result in lead generation, too.

Comita, Spectrum’s vice president of life enrichment, said in a statement. “Families love seeing HeartLegacy videos of their loved ones. Even better, HeartLegacy showcases how much fun we have in our beautiful communities. Online video is essential in today’s world. HeartLegacy makes it easy and effective.”
The 51 communities of Denver-based Spectrum, over 12 states, offer independent living, assisted living and memory care. Deployment of HeartLegacy will match the needs and culture of each community, the company said.
HeartLegacy currently serves senior living communities and home care agencies throughout North America with its video kiosk, Remy, and smartphone application, RemyGo.
