Charlotte, NC-based senior care review and referral service Caring.com has acquired Austin, TX-based competitor SeniorAdvice.com, Caring announced this morning. Terms were not disclosed.

“The SeniorAdvice offering expands our ability to reach and help even more seniors and their family members in their search for the senior living or in-home care option that best meets their needs,” Caring CEO Jim Rosenthal said in a statement.

Caring was founded in 2007. Since that time, its content, including approximately 250,000 reviews and “hundreds of thousands” of profiles have been used by millions of family caregivers and older adults, according to the firm. The company also offers a toll-free referral line and an annual “Caring Stars” awards program recognizing well-reviewed communities.

SeniorAdvice was founded in 2015 and provides information and reviews for more than 50,000 senior living operators.

“Our mission in starting SeniorAdvice was to help families and caregivers have a more transparent and supportive process in searching for senior care,” SeniorAdvice CEO Ryan Patterson said in a statement. “Caring.com is an industry leader that has dedicated itself to providing the highest-quality customer service and has built one of the largest networks of senior care providers anywhere. Caring’s passion, expertise, and resources will help elevate the experience and increase the options for consumers who use SeniorAdvice.”

Caring said its leadership team will work closely with SeniorAdvice’s team to ensure that the integration is as smooth as possible for operators, older adults and their families.
