Arizona prosecutors this week charged a man who once operated several senior living communities with 14 counts of theft and one count of fraud. Jerone Davis formerly ran Rancho Verde Care Homes, the documents allege.
Davis reportedly entered into contracts with 14 residents of the facilities between April and May of 2017. But he stopped operating the communities shortly thereafter without returning any funds for unused services, the indictment asserts. In all, residents allegedly were shortchanged more than $100,000.
Davis is next due in court Dec. 13. Special agents with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office Health Care Fraud and Abuse Section investigated this case.
