Legal matters and infection control are on the agenda for the McKnight’s Online Forum – Covid Update V. Two sessions are slated for Wednesday, July 22, with attendees able to earn one continuing education credit at each.

The first hour-long session, “Using UV-C Disinfection to Eliminate COVID-19,” will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Attendees will learn about ultraviolet germicidal irradiation, tools and technology to supplement existing infection prevention protocols, and best practices to prevent the spread of common healthcare-acquired infections.

The second hour-long session, “Worrisome Legal Issues Arising from COVID-19 – What You Need to Know,” will begin at noon ET.

Attendees will learn how to identify and understand COVID-19-related employment issues; prepare for lawsuits brought by residents and their families, and reduce legal exposure; reduce the risk of criminal liability; and learn how to respond to criminal subpoenas and civil investigative demand letters.

The event is a joint effort of McKnight’s Senior Living and sister brand McKnight’s Long-Term Care News.
