Independent living communities St. John's Meadows and Brickstone by St. John's in Rochester, NY, recently held a holistic approach fair with more than 15 vendors for residents.
Residents learned about massage therapy, acupuncture, nutrition, reiki, essential oils, animal rehabilitation and other topics. Many received a free hand massage, met a therapy dog, sampled holistic foods and tried essential oils. The fair also featured a representative from the Eden Alternative as well as Al Power, MD, an author and expert on dementia treatment.
