Former workers charged with sexual assault of residents
Two former senior living employees accused of sexual assault were in the news this week.
A former maintenance director at a Farmington, CT, memory care community allegedly sexually assaulted two older adult residents with dementia while he worked there, according to an Associated Press article in The Republic and other media outlets.
David Togninalli was charged Monday with second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree sexual assault. Administrators of Arden Courts of Farmington had contacted police Oct. 21 and they began investigating.
According to police, Togninalli said he inappropriately touched a 77-year-old woman and may have “inadvertently” touched a 92-year-old woman.
In another case, police arrested a man who used to be a patient tech at a memory care community in Tulsa, OK, according to Fox23.com.
Abayomi Enitan allegedly sexually assaulted a Brookdale resident in July, but police needed to gather more evidence in order to file charges against him.
