Jacqueline Trost promoted to VP of marketing and communications for American House Senior Living and REDICO

Jacqueline Trost has been promoted to vice president of marketing and communications for American House Senior Living Communities and REDICO, a national real estate development, investment and property management company.

In her new role, Trost will be responsible for driving and executing American House and REDICO’s strategic marketing, branding and communications initiatives.

Trost began at REDICO in 2014 as director of marketing and communications and served as director of communications for American House. Before joining REDICO, Trost was director of public relations at Village Green and has held marketing and communications leadership positions at Trinity Senior Living Communities, the Detroit Regional Chamber and the Detroit Medical Center.

Trost has an undergraduate degree in broadcast and cinematic arts from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Traci Taylor promoted to VP of sales and revenue enhancement at American House Senior Living Communities

Traci Taylor has been promoted to vice president of sales and revenue enhancement at American House Senior Living Communities in Bloomfield Hills, MI. In her new role, Taylor will lead the sales strategy and execution for the American House portfolio of more than 55 properties in the Midwest and Florida.

Taylor brings more than 20 years of sales and operations experience to the position. She began at American House in 2016 as vice president of operations for the company’s Florida region, where she oversaw operations, budgeting and strategic sales of more than 1,050 independent living, assisted living and memory care apartments.

Before joining American House, Taylor served as the regional director of sales for Legend Senior Living. She also has held leadership roles at Holiday Retirement and Emeritus Senior Living, HCR Manorcare and was chief operating officer at Journey Healthcare (home health and hospice).

Taylor has an undergraduate degree from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, KS, and holds a certificate of geriatric care management from the University of Florida.

Jane Binzak named VP of human resources at Senior Resource Group

Jane Binzak has been named vice president of human resources at Senior Resource Group, which develops, owns and operates senior living communities across seven states. She will be based in Solana Beach, CA.

In her new role, Binzak will be responsible for managing all employee relations, driving human resource and organizational effectiveness and advising senior management regarding HR trends and issues. She will provide oversight and support to the more than 4,000 employees at SRG’s 33 communities.

Binzak brings more than 20 years of human resources experience in the healthcare, hospitality and legal fields. She has managed human resource operations across multiple states and multiple brands simultaneously.

Binzak has a law degree from Marquette University Law School and an undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University.

Alain J. Bernard named assistant VP of Catholic Charities New Hampshire

Alain J. Bernard has been named assistant vice president of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, a provider of assisted living and independent living services, skilled nursing rehabilitation and long-term care to older adults across the state.

In his new role, Bernard will oversee the operations, financials, staffing and regulatory compliance of Catholic Charities’ healthcare services division, which consists of seven skilled nursing facilities and more than 700 staff members.

Bernard brings more than 30 years of experience in senior healthcare, including various administration and management positions. He most recently was a regional vice president of Life Care Centers of America, where he oversaw nine skilled nursing facilities across Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. He previously held leadership roles for National Health Care Associates, SunBridge Healthcare, Harborside Healthcare and Integrated Health Services.

Benchmark creates two new positions to assist in recruiting, retaining employees

Benchmark Senior Living has created two new positions — senior director of associate experience and organizational development, and director of organizational development — to further its goal to attract and retain people who share the company’s values and are committed to serving residents, families and fellow associates.

Cheryl Ramsey has joined the company as senior director of associate experience and organizational development, and Jennifer Crotty has been appointed director of organizational development.

Originally from Ontario, Ramsey has more than 20 years of experience in leadership and organizational development in the healthcare industry. Before joining Benchmark, she was a corporate consultant focusing on leadership return on investment and, before that, was director of leadership development for Maine Medical Center.

Ramsey has earned four degrees: an undergraduate degree in social organizations and human relations and sociology from the University of Western Ontario; two master’s degrees — one in organizational management and development and one in human development — from Fielding Graduate University; and a doctorate in human and organizational systems.

Crotty, a native of Wakefield, MA, Crotty joins Benchmark on the heels of 17 years spent working at an investment firm and doing volunteer work for Alpha Chi Omega, a sorority dedicated to female empowerment.

She earned an undergraduate degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master’s degree in leadership from Gonzaga University. She is completing a doctorate of education in leadership at Northeastern University.

Laura Etter named executive director for the Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus

Laura Etter has been named executive director for the Genacross Lutheran Services-Napoleon Campus (formerly Lutheran Home at Napoleon), a continuing care retirement community in Napoleon, OH.

As executive director, Etter will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, community outreach and business development of the campus, which includes independent living, assisted living, short-term and long-term skilled nursing care and rehabilitation services.

Etter brings 18 years of experience to the role, having started in long-term care services in 1990 as a dietary aide on the Napoleon Campus. She previously worked as a state-tested nursing assistant and has been a licensed nursing home administrator since 2005.

Etter has an undergraduate degree in nursing home administration from Lourdes University.

Trish Keaney named executive director at The Atrium at Rocky Hill

Trish Keaney has been named executive director at The Atrium at Rocky Hill, a Benchmark Senior Living memory care community in Rocky Hill, CT. In her new role, Keaney will oversee all aspects of operations, including The Atrium’s Mind & Memory approach for those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Keaney joins Benchmark from Artis Senior Living, where she was an executive director. She previously worked at Arden Courts of Farmington for 12 years and Hamden Health Care for 14. Keaney has an undergraduate degree from Springfield College.

David Fife named executive director of Benchmark Senior Living at Split Mark

David Fife has been named executive director of Benchmark Senior Living at Split Mark, an assisted living and memory care community in Shelton, CT.

Fife began his career as Harbor Care program coordinator at Middlebrook Farms at Trumbull, a Benchmark Senior Living community. He was later promoted to Harbor Care director and was responsible for overseeing the care of those with Alzheimer’s and dementia.

A licensed nursing home administrator, Fife previously worked for Athena Healthcare Systems before returning to Benchmark.

He has a graduate certificate in long-term care administration/management from the University of Connecticut, a master’s degree in biomedical sciences and forensic medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a bachelor’s degree in biology from La Salle University.

Michelle Rosenheim named executive director of Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant

Michelle Rosenheim has been named executive director of The Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant, a continuing care retirement community in Ellicott City, MD. In her new role, she will oversee daily operations, including facilities, dining, resident life, social work, chaplaincy, skilled care, assisted living and therapy services.

Rosenheim has two decades of experience in senior living management and is a licensed nursing home administrator as well as a certified preceptor of the nursing home administrator-in-training program. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in healthcare management with a minor in business administration from Towson University.

Jake Wycoff named executive director at Sodalis at Stone Oak

Jake Wycoff has been named executive director at Sodalis at Stone Oak, an assisted living and memory care community in San Antonio, TX. In his new role, Wycoff will be managing day-to-day operations, sales initiatives and management of staff.

Wycoff has eight years of experience in the senior living and healthcare industry in various Texas and Arizona communities. He previously held positions as sales director, regional vice president and executive director.

A U.S. Army veteran, Wycoff has served on the boards of directors of various organizations, including the United Way, Jewish Family and Children’s Services and the American Lung Association. Wycoff also won the Arizona Daily Star 40 Under 40 award in 2007, an award given to young professionals who pave the way in their industries.

Teresa Smith named executive director at Dripping Springs

Teresa Smith has been named executive director at Sodalis Senior Living’s Dripping Springs memory care community in Austin, TX. In her new role, she will manage day-to-day operations, sales initiatives and management of staff.

Smith has 12 years of experience in the senior living and healthcare industry. She has held positions in caregiving, sales, operations and executive management roles. Smith sustained a 95% occupancy rate for two years during her time as a sales director at an assisted living and memory care community.

“As a former caregiver, I help mentor my fellow team members and use my skills from the various positions I’ve been a part of in this industry to help them grow,” she said.

Jerry Lindenbaum named executive director of Leawood Gardens Senior Living

Jerry Lindenbaum has been named executive director of Leawood Gardens Senior Living, an assisted living and memory care community in Leawood, KS, managed by Integral Senior Living. The community is undergoing major renovations.

Lindenbaum brings to the position more than 30 years of experience at senior living communities. He previously was an administrator for Indian Creek Health Care Center and served as the executive director for Riverside Rehab and Nursing; at both he was responsible for day-to-day operations. Lindenbaum also held a position as an in-house consultant with Pivotal Health Care, where he was consulted on matters of operations, clinical matters for the company’s retirement communities, regulatory performance and operating systems.

Lindenbaum is credited with developing and organizing the first assisted living concept in the state of Kansas, according to Leawood.

Blake Ray promoted to director of asset management of Legacy Senior Living

Blake Ray has been promoted to director of asset management of Legacy Senior Living, a management company of assisted living and memory care facilities in Cleveland, TN.

In his new role, Ray will be responsible for assisting in new developments, construction and renovation efforts, coordinating facility financing and supporting executive leadership in both real estate and operational analysis. He also will be assisting leadership in special projects to support the facility teams.

Ray previously worked for Legacy Senior Living as the special projects coordinator. He also has served as executive director of the Renaissance Marquis assisted living and memory care community, where he oversaw 109 units.

Ray graduated with a double major in accounting and psychology from Lee University.

Julio Defillo-Draiby, M.D., named resident physician at Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard

Julio Defillo-Draiby, M.D., has been named resident physician at Wingate Residences on Blackstone Boulevard, a Wingate Healthcare assisted living community in Providence, RI.

Defillo-Draiby is a lead geriatrician for the Total Joint Center’s co-management program at Miriam Hospital and an assistant professor of medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

He is board-certified in internal and geriatric medicine, specializes in the prevention of geriatric syndromes after elective joint replacement and is an expert in pain management and postoperative complications.

Defillo-Draiby has a medical degree from the Santo Domingo Institute of Technology in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and completed his residency at New York Medical College Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York, where he served as chief resident and instructor of medicine. He also completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine and clinical education at Yale School of Medicine.

Jocelyn Fitzgibbons has been named sales and marketing director at The Residence at Melrose Station, an LCB Senior Living community in Melrose, MA.

She brings more than six years of sales experience to her role. She most recently was community sales director at Brightview Senior Living.

Lisa Santiago named sales and marketing director at Residence at Summer Street 

Lisa Santiago has been named sales and marketing director at The Residence at Summer Street, an LCB Senior Living community in Stamford, CT.

Santiago brings more than nine years of industry experience to her role. She previously worked as community sales director at Atria Senior Living and has held several sales and community relations roles throughout her career.

Diane Robinson named director of marketing at Wingate Residences at Haverhill

Diane Robinson has been named director of marketing at Wingate Residences at Haverhill, a Wingate Healthcare assisted living and memory care assisted living community expected to open this fall in Haverhill, MA. In her new role, Robinson will work to establish relationships with local medical professionals and healthcare personnel.

Robinson previously helped open and support operations at six Northbridge Companies senior living communities in Massachusetts. She also served as partner for the marketing agency 2DiFore Marketing Solutions and as marketing manager for IBM software group Unica.

Robinson is a member of the Women’s Leadership Council at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and serves on her local chamber of commerce. She has co-chaired two Alzheimer’s Association partnerships, co-founded the 128W Women of Influence and the InTown Networking Groups and is a former member of her local Rotary Club.

Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing.

Dawn Bruce named wellness director at Bridges by Epoch at Sudbury

Dawn Bruce, RN, has been named wellness director at Bridges by Epoch at Sudbury, a memory care assisted living community expected to open this summer in Sudbury, MA.

In her new role, Bruce will lead the community’s team of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants as they provide daily care to residents living with memory loss.

Bruce has 16 years of nursing experience at hospitals and senior living communities throughout Massachusetts and South Carolina. She most recently was resident care director at another local senior living community.

In addition to becoming a registered nurse, Bruce earned an undergraduate degree in nursing from Salem State University and an undergraduate degree in English literature from Gordon College.

Vanessa McCall named community relations director of Market Street Memory Care Residence East Lake

Vanessa McCall has been named community relations director of Market Street Memory Care Residence East Lake, a Watercrest Senior Living Group community in Tampa, FL.

In her new role, McCall will further establish the Market Street brand in the Tampa area while providing support to meet the needs of family members and their loved ones transitioning to memory care.

McCall has 12 years of sales and marketing experience in senior living. She earned the Horizon Award for highest sales and increase in occupancy, as well as recognition as employee of the month. McCall has a marketing degree.

Travanse Living at Olathe names new directors

Travanse Living at Olathe, a senior living community offering assisted and memory care living in Olathe, KS, has named Rachael Locke-Garcia and Charley Lewis as directors of sales and marketing.

Locke-Garcia has nine years of dementia care experience and 15 years of managerial experience. She previously was sales and marketing director at Brookdale College Square, where she was responsible for new resident outreach, staff hiring and training, vendor relationship maintenance and sustaining good relationships with the families of residents.

Locke-Garcia received her certified nursing aide certificate in 2009 and expects to graduate from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration.

Lewis brings 37 years of experience in sales, marketing and project management to Travanse Living at Olathe. She has previously worked with the Kansas Department of Aging, Ronald McDonald Houses International and the American Marketing Association.

Lewis also has worked for Senior Star Wexford Place, where she executed numerous branding, advertising and promotional campaigns, hired and trained staff and exceeded 12-month occupancy goals in a nine-month period.

Kim O’Connell named director of community relations at Bridges by Epoch at Andover

Kim O’Connell has been named director of community relations at Bridges by Epoch at Andover, a memory care assisted living community set to open this summer in Andover, MA. In her new role, O’Connell will focus on building relationships with local organizations and offering guidance to families considering memory care assisted living.

O’Connell has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. A licensed clinical social worker, she held positions at various medical organizations in Massachusetts from 1997 until 2014, when she became the dementia program director at a local senior care community. She most recently served as director of the memory care unit within another local assisted living community.

O’Connell has a bachelor’s degree in human services from Lesley College and a Master of Social Work degree from Boston College School of Social Work.

Allison Lane named communications director at Sodexo Seniors

Allison Lane has been named communications director at Sodexo Seniors. In her new role, she will be responsible for managing and implementing all internal and external communications strategies and establishing and achieving yearly objectives for communicative success and growth.

Lane previously worked for companies such as Edelman and Golin/Harris in New York, SAS, The Body Shop, Burt’s Bees, Unilever and the Quaker Oats Co. She most recently worked for Tree Swing Communications, where she focused on integrated marketing, reputation management and public relations.

Lane graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism.
