Silverado will use Eversound‘s patented wireless headphone system in all 36 of its memory care communities across eight states, the companies announced Tuesday.

“We believe that Eversound makes it easier to overcome the barriers hearing impairment can create for our range of engagement programs,” said Kathy Greene, senior vice president of program and services integration of Silverado. “We’re very excited to be adopting Eversound’s technology as a way to add a new dimension to the engagements our residents enjoy.”

Eversound’s system is designed specifically to provide older adults with an enhanced listening experience compared with conventional hearing aids, to benefit group activities such as movies and presentations in senior living communities.

“Hearing loss is a natural part of the aging process, but when it is left unaddressed, it has been linked to mental decline, social isolation and depression,” said Matt Reiners, vice president of customer impact and co-founder of Eversound. “With the 65+ population nearly doubling by 2050, we are excited to support one of the top leading senior living communities to address such a critical need.”
