Lindsay B. Schwartz, Ph.D.

Lindsay B. Schwartz, Ph.D., will continue as chairwoman of the Center for Excellence in Assisted Living Board of Directors, the organization has announced. The position is a volunteer one.

Schwartz, who is senior director of workforce and quality improvement at the National Center for Assisted Living, originally began serving as chairwoman of the CEAL board in 2016. She previously had been a member of the board.

Other recently confirmed board officers, who like Schwartz will begin their two-year terms in January:

  • Vice chairman: Doug Pace, director of mission partnerships for the Alzheimer’s Association
  • Treasurer: Steve Maag, director of residential communities at LeadingAge
  • Secretary: Cathy Lieblich, director of network relations for the Pioneer Network
  • Immediate past chairman: Robert Jenkens, senior vice president and director of social impact initiatives for the National Cooperative Bank

CEAL, based in Washington, D.C., is a collaboration of 11 organizations that work to promote excellence in assisted living through practice, public policy, technical expertise and research. Members include the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Assisted Living Nurses Association, AMDA – The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, the American Seniors Housing Association, Argentum, LeadingAge, the National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities, NCAL, the National Cooperative Bank, Paralyzed Veterans of America and Pioneer Network.
