Penrose, SingFit winners at AARP's Innovation@50+ LivePitch
Penrose Senior Care Auditors and SingFit were the winners at AARP's fifth Health Innovation@50+ LivePitch event, held April 27 at Plug and Play Tech Center in Sunnyvale, CA, the organization announced.
The one-day event saw 10 startup health technology companies that are focused on caregiving pitching their businesses to a panel of industry leaders and also audience members who are the intended end-users of the products. The event also included speakers discussing caregiving and a keynote with Nancy LeaMond, AARP's chief advocacy and engagement officer.
Penrose Senior Care Auditors was chosen as Judges' Choice. SingFit was voted as Consumers' Choice by members of the 400+ audience.
“We were very impressed with our finalists this year and how their businesses will improve the lives of caregivers and those they care for,” said Jody Holtzman, senior vice president of enterprise strategy and innovation for AARP. The organization will work with all of the finalists to support their businesses, he added.
Penrose, based in Dallas, has app-enabled senior care auditing technology called Penrose Check-Ins, designed to provide families peace of mind that the older adults in their lives are well.
