Hurricane season began in June but, historically, the biggest hurricane threat in the United States is from August through September.

Wind, flooding and storm surges are among the primary causes of damage to senior living facilities and other property. And as Hurricane Sandy proved in 2012, these threats are no longer just to the Southeast part of the country. If you haven’t prepared already, there are steps you can take now to protect your property in the event of a hurricane or other severe weather event.
