It’s hard to believe that in three weeks, we’ll be gathering in Chicago to honor the 60 McKnight’s Women of Distinction named for 2023. Will you be joining us? You still have time to buy tickets to the May 22 events.

Yes, events—plural.

The festivities will include two hour-long educational sessions and a cocktail reception in addition to the awards dinner and presentation, all at the JW Marriott Chicago. All events are open to the entire long-term care industry, family members and friends of winners, and anyone else interested in attending.

I’m excited to be moderating one of the educational sessions. During “A lifetime of lessons from the C-suite,” three McKnight’s Women of Distinction Lifetime Achievement Award honorees will offer insights gleaned over decades of experience on the leading edge of senior living and care. It’ll be a wonderful opportunity for attendees to pick the brains of Marilynn Duker, co-chair of Brightview Senior Living, the 2023 honoree; Lynne Katzmann, founder and CEO of Juniper Communities, the 2019 honoree; and Wendy Simpson, chairman and CEO of LTC Properties, the 2020 session. The session promises to be inspiring.

My colleague Liza Berger, the editor of McKnight’s Home Care, will be moderating the first educational session, “Traits of a successful long-term care leader.”

Attendees will learn what makes a great long-term care leader and how to harness winning traits to nurture and motivate up-and-comers in senior living, skilled nursing and home care.

Read more about the entire event and see ticket information at this site. Tickets are available separately for the educational forum and the awards dinner and presentation, or as a bundle.

I hope to see you there! In the meantime, if you’re attending Argentum’s Senior Living Executive Conference, be sure to stop by McKnight’s Senior Living’s booth, No. 3400, during expo hours to say hello and pick up some of our print publications.
