Laura Fischer has been named chief operating officer at Integral Senior Living, a subsidiary of Discovery Senior Living

Fischer joins ISL with more than 23 years of experience in the senior living industry. She most recently held the role of West Division vice president for Brookdale Senior Living.

Fischer earned her undergraduate degree in business from Arizona State University and is slated to complete her MBA soon.

Morning Pointe names Jenna Wetherholt executive director of Morning Pointe at Franklin

Jenna Wetherholt has been named executive director of Morning Pointe at Franklin, a Morning Pointe Senior Living community in Franklin, TN. 

Wetherholt has 15 years of experience in long-term care. She started as an activities assistant at a nursing home, then became an activity director, then a marketing and admissions director and then a licensed assisted living administrator.

Wetherholt has a degree in fashion merchandising and marketing from the O’More School of Design and Middle Tennessee State University. She recently participated as a contestant in the 2024 Miss Tennessee USA pageant.

Providence adds Wesley Bartlett as executive director of Arya at DeBary

Wesley Bartlett has been named executive director of Arya at DeBary, in DeBary, FL, a Providence Senior Living independent living, assisted living and memory care community set to open this spring.

Bartlett has a background as both an executive director and a licensed nursing home administrator.

LifeLoop names Rob Fisher CEO

Rob Fisher has been named the CEO of Denver-based senior living software provider LifeLoop

For the past 13 years, Fisher has held several leadership roles at Curaspan, a software-as-a-service-based care transition business serving payers, health systems and post-acute providers. The business was acquired by WellSky in 2022, at which time he was senior vice president of the Care Transition Solutions division.

iN2L merged with LifeLoop in 2022, and in 2023, the companies unified under the LifeLoop name.

A Place for Mom names Tatyana Zlotsky CEO

Tatyana Zlotsky, president and chief revenue officer of senior living advisory service A Place for Mom, will become CEO effective May 2, the company announced Monday. She also will join the board of directors.

Current CEO Larry Kutscher, who joined the company in 2019, will transition to chairman of the board and will continue to provide strategic oversight of the company’s growth plans.

Zlotsky will bring to her new role more than 20 years of experience in driving strategic business outcomes, operational excellence and innovation. She joined APFM in 2019 as chief marketing officer, serving in successive leadership roles since then. Previously, she was with American Express for nine years and before that held various executive positions at other Fortune 500 companies and technology startups.

One of her responsibilities as CEO will be to develop and lead the company’s strategic vision, operations and management as it continues to grow and expand its offerings across the continuum of senior living and care.

Zlotsky holds an MBA in marketing and finance and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Rutgers University School of Business.

HMP Senior Solutions appoints Rita Kriss VP of sales

Rita Kriss has been named vice president of sales at HMP Senior Solutions.

Kriss has more than 20 years of leadership in sales and business development. She holds credentials including an assisted living care facility license, a residential home for the aged license, and certifications in organizational leadership and leadership principles from Harvard University.

Saltmarsh, Cleveland & Gund adds two directors to healthcare consulting practice

Jennifer Ziolkowski and Kelly Smith have been added as directors to Saltmarsh, Cleveland & Gund’s healthcare consulting practice. The moves come as the Tampa and Pensacola, FL-based accounting and advisory firm expands its presence in senior living and post-acute care. 

Ziolkowski formerly was senior vice president of finance and president of Opis SeniorServices Group, a provider of assisted living, skilled nursing, home health services and short-term rehabilitation services. She is active in the Florida Health Care Association and the American Health Care Association and has served in a variety of roles for the associations, including co-chair of the FHCA Reimbursement Committee, member of the AHCA Multi-Facility Council and board member of the Our Florida Promise.

Ziolkowski is a recipient of the Walter M. Johnson Jr. Circle of Excellence Award for her dedication to long-term care and her role in the development of the Medicaid Prospective Payment System in Florida.

Smith formerly was the director of process improvement for Opis Senior Services Group and has spent more than a decade working to improve the quality of care for older adults through research and practice. She currently is a Gold examiner for the AHCA/National Center for Assisted Living Quality Award Program and also holds a gubernatorial appointment to Florida’s Panel for Excellence in Long-Term Care.

Smith also is active with the FHCA and serves on various committees, including the Professional Development Committee and the Assisted Living Committee, and she also is vice chair of the Quality Cabinet. She also is a member of the American Society of Quality, the National Association of Healthcare Quality, the Gerontological Society of America and the Florida Council on Aging.

Jason Broberg has been named director of business development at Chicago-based senior living dining management and point-of-sale solutions company ServingIntel.

Broberg has experience in senior living as a director of sales and marketing for communities in California and Colorado.

Belmont Village employees honored with TALA HERO awards

Two Belmont Village Senior Living employees recently were awarded the Texas Assisted Living Association HERO Award for displaying high levels of care and dedication in senior living.

Brit Burk, executive director at Belmont Village West University, Houston, was recognized as Executive Director of the Year.

Angie Montelongo, activities program coordinator at Belmont Village West University, received the HERO Award for Life Enrichment/Activities Director.

Arbor Acres’ Jolie Shafer named Executive Chef of the Year by Senior Dining Association

Jolie Shafer, executive chef at Arbor Acres, Winston-Salem, NC, recently was honored as the Executive Chef of the Year 2024 at the Senior Dining Association Synergy Conference held in Orlando, FL. The award was presented April 8 during the awards and recognition luncheon.

Shafer previously worked at Wake Forest University, where she led catered functions as the lead banquet chef and took over the Magnolia Room dining room at Reynolda Hall. Before that, she lived in Chicago, where she worked for 18 years at an upscale, contemporary restaurant called Tavern on Rush.
