Masterpiece announces new CEO

Eloy Lopez is the new CEO of Masterpiece, Denver, succeeding Larry Landry.

Landry, executive chairman and founder of Masterpiece, who had been CEO since 1999, is stepping down after more than 22 years.

Lopez has more than 18 years of experience in executive leadership, team-building, technological innovation, data-driven strategies and direct-to-consumer marketing. For the past two years, he has been the chief operating officer at Masterpiece.

United Church Homes welcomes Michael Hughes as senior executive VP, chief transformation and innovation officer

Michael Hughes has joined United Church Homes, Marion, OH, as senior executive vice president and chief transformation and innovation officer, a newly created role.

In this capacity, Hughes will lead digital product and service line development, manage major change processes and drive partnerships that advance growth and innovation. He has more than 17 years of experience in managed care and health innovation in addition to expertise in developing programs and partnerships to improve care management.

Before joining United Church Homes, Hughes was principal of Mitchell-Lowey. He was named an All-Star Mentor in 2020 and 2021.

Gilbert Bolivar has joined Retirement Unlimited Inc. as vice president of food and beverage for its Virginia and Florida communities. 

In this role, Bolivar will oversee and support the food and beverage initiatives at all RUI community locations. He will report directly to President Doris-Ellie Sullivan.

Bolivar has more than 15 years of leadership experience in opening and operating hotels, restaurants, night clubs, retail locations and theme parks.

Senior Resource Group hires Chris Gladheim as VP of human resources

Chris Gladheim has joined Senior Resource Group, Solana Beach, CA, as vice president of human resources. 

Gladheim brings 25 years of human resource experience to his new role. He will manage human resources, including talent acquisition and management, leadership development and rewards and recognition, and he will advise senior management on current and future workforce strategies.

Before joining Senior Resource Group, Gladheim was the director and human resources business partner for a global technology company. There, he facilitated organization and leadership development efforts, translated business strategies into employee objectives and defined the strategic direction of various functional areas.

Gladheim is a University of Phoenix graduate. He also has a professional certification in human resource management from the University of California, San Diego, and has certificates as a senior professional in human resources and a professional in human resources by HRCI.

Jerry Warshaw is chairman of board of directors at Lenbrook 

Lenbrook announced in a post on the company’s website that Jerry Warshaw is now chairman of the board of directors. 

Warshaw, along with the board and management team, navigated an array of challenges of operations and expansion endeavors during the COVID-19 pandemic. The most noteworthy project will be the completion of the Kingsboro at Lenbrook, a $108 million expansion.

In addition to serving on the board of directors at Lenbrook, he also is vice chair of the Georgia Real Estate Commission as well as a member of the Housing and Demographics Research Center at the University of Georgia.

Warshaw is the founder and president of Warshaw Properties. He is a certified property manager and certified apartment property supervisor.

Pegasus Senior Living hires Sandra Petersen as health and wellness director

Sandra Petersen, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, PMHNP-BE, FAANP, will join Pegasus Senior Living, Dallas, as health and wellness director in January.

Petersen has been at the company as a senior health and wellness consultant since February 2020. In her new position, she will lead all clinical operations and efforts for the company. This will include Connections, her signature, data-driven memory care program with a neuroplasticity concentration.

She has also been at the forefront of the company’s COVID-19 safety efforts along with the company’s medical and healthcare staff.

OneDay appoints Lacy Jungman as VP of strategic development

Lacy Jungman has been appointed vice president of strategic development at Dallas-based senior living-focused technology company OneDay.

She has 15 years of experience in the senior living industry. Before joining OneDay, Jungman was the vice president of sales and marketing at Omaha, NE-based Heritage Communities, which owns and manages senior living communities throughout Arizona, Iowa, Nebraska and Texas. Heritage Communities also is one of OneDay’s partner communities.

Jungman has received Argentum’s Best of the Best award for her work co-authoring the book “In a Good Place,” a novel written from an adult daughter’s perspective of the senior care journey. She also is a contributing writer to “Her View from Home,” meant to provide women with inspiration about parenting, marriage, relationships and faith.

She will work remotely from Nebraska.

Confluent Development elects new members to board of directors, advisory board

Confluent Development, Denver, has elected John H. Myers to its board of directors and Robert Ezer to its advisory board. 

Myers is director of the investment committee and managing partner of Fortsmann & Company. Before that, he worked at General Electric for 38 years. He retired in 2006 as president and CEO of GE Asset Management. In this capacity, he was responsible for approximately $200 billion in assets under management for clients.

Ezer is chief investment officer of Amica Senior Lifestyles. He leads the investments and developments team to support the company’s growth and has 30 years of finance and investment experience. In addition to serving on the advisory board for Confluent Development, Ezer serves on the executive board of the American Seniors Housing Association. 

Holden Southcenter welcomes Shane Fowler as executive director

Shane Fowler has been named executive director of Holden Southcenter, an assisted living and memory care community operated by Milestone Retirement Communities in Tukwila, WA. 

Fowler has more than 14 years of experience in senior care. Before joining Holden Southcenter, he as senior executive director at a Sunrise Senior Living community. 

Waterstone of Westchester hires Roseanne Alfano as second senior adviser

In this capacity, Alfano will assist with marketing, community outreach and customer service in anticipation of the community’s opening in early 2022. She will be responsible for all internal and external sales and marketing, as well as building relationships with families, clients and prospective families within the community and referral sources.

Before joining the company, Alfano was community sales director at a senior living community in Ardsley, NY.
