Saint Mary’s Home of Erie announces Allen L. Bonace as next president/CEO

Sister Phyllis McCracken will step down as president/CEO of Saint Mary’s Home of Erie effective June 30. The organization’s board of trustees has named Allen L. Bonace as her successor.

McCracken leaves Saint Mary’s to assume an elected role of Leadership with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania. She has served as the President/CEO of Saint Mary’s Home of Erie for the past 17 years.

Bonace joined Saint Mary’s Home of Erie in 2003 and has led several initiatives throughout his tenure to advance the care provided by Saint Mary’s. He has established programs to reduce the spread of disease in the facility and limit the unnecessary use of antibiotics, and ensured that Saint Mary’s achieved a 5-year CARF-CCAC accreditation.

Collington names Ann E. Gillespie as new CEO

Ann E. Gillespie will become the new CEO of Collington, a not-for-profit, full-service continuing care retirement community affiliated with The Kendal Corp. Gillespie succeeds current CEO Marvell Adams Jr. on July 1.

Gillespie is an aging-services professional with more than 30 years of experience in positions with the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (now known as LeadingAge).

Benchmark appoints new chief development officer and senior vice president

Michael Cantalupa will become the new chief development officer and senior vice president at Benchmark.

Cantalupa has had a more-than-30-year career at Boston Properties where he oversaw new development projects that contributed to the growth of the Boston area. He has been a speaker at industry conferences and seminars, including Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, Build Boston and Massachusetts Building Congress.

LifeSpire of Virginia welcomes new corporate controller

Tiffany Flora has been named corporate controller for Lifespire of Virginia.

In this position, Flora leads the accounting team, monitors and manages the company’s cash position and its nonprofit foundation’s business affairs, and serves as an accounting and financial consultant to LifeSpire’s senior leadership and communities.

Flora has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles in accounting and finance with a concentration in healthcare and nonprofit organizations, including Aetna Medicaid, Kissito Healthcare and Interim Healthcare.

Maple Leaf Assisted Living and Memory Care announces Pam Dill as executive director

Pam Dill has been named the new executive director at Maple Leaf Assisted Living and Memory Care, an Integral Senior Living community that specializes in assisted living, memory care and respite care.

Dill was also announced as the Integral Senior Living 2019 Executive Director of The Year.

Before joining the Maple Leaf team, Dill was executive director at multiple senior living communities, including Harbour Pointe, Welbrook South Bay and Whittier Place.

Oakmont Senior Living names executive director for Oakmont of Riverpark

Gina Salman joins the Oakmont Senior Living team as executive director at the community in Riverpark, which is set to open this winter.

Salman has worked in the senior living industry for more than a decade. Before joining Oakmont, she was executive director at Wellbrook at Valley Vista Assisted Living and Memory Care in Van Nuys, CA.

Cadence Living names Wanda Tutelo as executive director at new community

Wanda Tutelo has been named the new executive director at Acoya Mesa, a senior living community owned by Cadence Living that will open in September 2019.

Tutelo has more than 15 years of experience in senior living and caregiving. Before joining Cadence, she spent five years with LIV Generations focused on LIV’s multiple communities.

Harbor Point at Centerville welcomes Julie Dalton as director of community relations

Julie Dalton is joining Harbor Point at Centerville, a Benchmark community in Centerville, MA. She is director of community relations. In this role, Dalton will work with those with memory disorders and their loved ones.

During Dalton’s over 30-year career, she has worked in advertising sales for Cape Cod. In 2016, she joined HopeHealth as development officer for Hope Hospice and Hope Dementia & Alzheimer’s Services where she helped raise over $500,000 for essential educational and support services for local families.

Vcpi names Zak Koch as president

Zak Koch is the new president at vcpi, a nationwide provider of outsourced IT services in senior living communities. He was promoted from vice president of client services.

Koch has almost two decades of IT networking experience. He began his career with the Marine Corps in 2001 and was there until 2006, when he joined vcpi. Since then, he has grown with the company into higher-level leadership roles.

Capital One adds to its team of long-term care relationship managers

Dana Scheppmann and David Harper have been named regional managers for long-term care real estate lending at Capital One Healthcare. In these roles, they will provide customized lending solutions, agency, HUD lending, as well as treasury management services.

Scheppmann will be responsible for the Northeast, whereas Harper will focus on the Southeast.

Both Scheppmann and Harper joined Capital One in 2015, when it acquired GE Capital’s healthcare finance unit. Scheppmann has more than eight years of experience in healthcare real estate, having structured underwritten, and closed more than 100 loans during her career.

Harper has worked in healthcare real estate for more than 18 years and before assuming his new post was responsible for the underwriting and portfolio management teams, which focused on the medical office, seniors housing, skilled nursing, and real estate investment trust segments.

Fishman & Associates Hires Stacy Jackson as regional sales manager

Stacy Jackson has been hired as a regional sales manager at Fishman & Associates, a company that provides food service design to clients nationwide, including assisted living and retirement communities as well as healthcare facilities.

Jackson has almost 20 years of experience in the restaurant services industry. His background includes opening restaurants for a large restaurant chain, selling restaurant equipment and serving as general manager of a restaurant equipment dealership in New York.

Harrison Street names Dave Liu vice president of asset management

Dave Liu has become the new vice president of asset management at Harrison Street. In this role, he will be responsible for overseeing investments within Harrison Street’s senior housing, medical and life science portfolios.

Prior to this, he served as vice president of asset management at real estate investment trust Ventas.

GuideOne Insurance appoints Chris Ward to VP of distribution management

Chris Ward has become the new vice president of distribution management at GuideOne Insurance.

In this role, Ward is responsible for driving and supporting attainment of GuideOne’s strategic plan through managing its independent agency, wholesaler and alternative distribution relationships.

Ward joins GuideOne from CNA Financial Corp., where he was assistant vice president of sales and distribution.
