Glenmeadow appoints Kathy Martin as president and CEO 

Kathy Martin, DPE, has been named president and CEO of Glenmeadow, a life plan community in Longmeadow, MA. She will succeed Anne Thomas effective Oct. 1.

Martin brings to the role more than two decades of nonprofit leadership experience. She currently is assistant provost for accreditation and administration at UMass Amherst and previously served Springfield College in several roles, most recently chief of staff. 

Martin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physical education (sport management) from Keene State College and her Master of Science degree in physical education (athletics administration) and Doctor of Physical Education (DPE) degree (with a specialization in sport psychology) from Springfield College.

Sarah Reed Senior Living names Amber Gowetski CEO

Amber Gowetski has been named CEO of Sarah Reed Senior Living, a continuing care retirement community in Erie, PA. She began serving in her new role on Aug. 21.

Gowetski brings more than two decades of experience in senior living to the role. Most recently, she was the nursing home administrator for Orchard Manor in Grove City, PA. 

Gowetski earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Allegheny College.

Adrienne Green, MD

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living names Adrienne Green CEO 

Adrienne Green, MD, is the new CEO of the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living as of July 18.

Green had been the chief medical officer for adult services and vice president for regulatory and medical affairs at UCSF Health for the past 8 years. She is board-certified in internal medicine and has practiced as a hospitalist at UCSF since 1998.

Green earned her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University. She attended medical school at the Hahnemann University School of Medicine, now part of the Drexel University College of Medicine, and completed her residency in internal medicine at Stanford University.

Erickson promotes Melissa Yacenick to continuing care director at Fox Run

Melissa Yacenick has been promoted to director of continuing care at Fox Run, an Erickson Senior Living-managed continuing care retirement community in Novi, MI. 

With 15 years of healthcare experience, Yacenick started working in senior living as a dining assistant and, over the years, has served as a certified nursing assistant, receptionist, admissions coordinator, assistant administrator and administrator. She joined Fox Run in 2021.

Yacenick holds an undergraduate degree in biology from Oakland University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from University of Detroit Mercy.

Erickson promotes Donna Schneider to sales director at Devonshire at PGA National 

Donna Schneider has been promoted to director of sales at Devonshire at PGA National, an Erickson Senior Living-managed continuing care retirement community in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. 

During her nine-year career at Devonshire, Schneider most recently served as sales counselor. She was named Leader of the Quarter in 2022 and Leader of the Year in 2020.

Schneider holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College.

LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware has unveiled its 2023 board of trustees. The board was elected by the membership during the annual business meeting, held during the association’s Annual Meeting + EXPO at Caesars, Atlantic City, NJ.

HDG promotes Colin Higgins to VP of market analysis and research

Colin Higgins has been promoted to vice president of market analysis and research at Health Dimensions Group

With more than 20 years of experience in senior living and healthcare, including 17 years at HDG, Higgins is experienced in market research, demand analysis, feasibility studies, and competitive assessments for post-acute, skilled nursing and senior living providers as part of their business plan development.

He is a member of HDG’s PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) Technical Assistance Center leadership team. 

Gov. Mike Parson appoints 3 to nursing home administrator board

Gov. Mike Parson (R) has announced three additions to Missouri’s Board of Nursing Home Administrators. The appointees are Deanna Bokel, Michelle Mincks and Libby Youse. 

Bokel is director of corporate compliance for StoneBridge Senior Living. She previously was a registered nurse in acute medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Bokel is a licensed nursing home administrator and is board-certified in gerontological nursing. She holds a degree in nursing from the Barnes-Jewish School of Nursing. 

Mincks is a business development consultant at Guardian Pharmacy of the Heartland and co-administrator of Lakeshores Residential Care Facility. She is a member of the boards of the Missouri Assisted Living Association and Home Court Advantage. Mincks previously served as a member of the board of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and sociology and an MBA from Southwest Baptist University.

Youse is a clinical instructor in long-term care and a leadership coach at the University of Missouri-Sinclair School of Nursing. She has been a licensed nursing home administrator for 25 years and is a former board member of the Missouri Health Care Association. Youse also is a certified dementia practitioner and infection preventionist. She holds an undergraduate degree in general studies, with emphasis in finance, business and psychology, from the University of Missouri–Columbia.

Haven Ministries appoints Ed Wilson to board of directors 

Ed Wilson has been appointed to the board of directors of Haven Ministries and will serve as the organization’s treasurer.

A retired financial executive, Wilson has more than 35 years of experience in accounting, finance and banking.  Most recently, he worked as part-time executive director of finance for Lighthouse Church. Before that, he was senior vice president of the Shelter Group / Brightview Senior Living.

Wilson completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics, with a certificate in accounting, from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
