Twelve Elmcroft and Embark senior living communities formerly operated by Lake Oswego, OR-based Eclipse Senior Living have been transitioned to Fort Worth, TX-based Sagora Senior Living, Sagora announced Monday.

The moves, involving communities in nine states, including some in which Sagora previously did not operate, bring Sagora’s total number of communities to 57.

“We are so thankful for this opportunity,” Sagora President Bryan McCaleb said in the announcement.

Ninety other communities across 20 states that are managed by Eclipse for Chicago-based real estate investment trust Ventas also are transitioning from Eclipse to eight other operators. The real estate investment trust said that the communities were “adversely affected” by the COVID-19 pandemic. Most of those moves are expected to be complete by the end of this year.

Eclipse will cease business management operations in 2022 after all of the communities are transitioned to new operators.
