McKnight's Women of Distinction Roundtable 2021

The first day of the McKnight’s Women of Distinction two-day festivities began yesterday with a roundtable discussion about workforce lessons from the pandemic featuring four McKnight’s Women of Distinction honorees. The awards presentation followed.

Participating on the roundtable panel were Lori Alford, chief operating officer of Avanti Senior Living; Robin Bradley, chief operating officer of American Health Partners; Kimberly Green-Yates, chief operating officer of Diakonos Group; and Alicia Hartnett, director of healthcare and assisted living for Lutheran Village at Miller’s Grant. McKnight’s Senior Living Editor Lois A. Bowers moderated the discussion, which was sponsored by Paycor.

During the awards presentation that followed, Mary Ousley, chief strategy officer for PruittHealth and a past chair of the American Health Care Association, received this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awards program named 19 senior executives into the 2021 Hall of Honor class. Fifteen women who have worked in senior living or skilled nursing for more than 15 years were recognized as Veteran VIPs . The category is new to the awards program, now in its third year.

Seventeen women were recognized as Rising Stars. This awards category honors women who are either aged fewer than 40 years or have fewer than 15 years of experience in the senior living or skilled nursing fields. The free event continues Wednesday with three webinars at which attendees can earn continued education credits.
