New toolkit focuses on falls detection and prevention

The LeadingAge Center for Aging Services Technologies on Thursday introduced its first-ever toolkit devoted to safety technology — specifically, technology to detect or prevent falls — for use in senior living and care environments.

GreatCall to be acquired by Best Buy for $800 million

GreatCall is being acquired by Best Buy Co. Inc. for $800 million in cash, the latter company announced Wednesday. The transaction is expected to close by the end of Best Buy’s fiscal 2019 third quarter.
