The vision Douglas Olson, Ph.D., first outlined six years ago for more robust educational and training programs for long-term care leaders is barreling toward fruition. Recently renamed the Vision Centre, the initiative will include at least 25 degree-offering college programs, 1,000 paid training opportunities and much more for aging services leaders of the future. Olson, a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Vision Centre founder, discusses the recent formalization of the nonprofit initiative, what all providers have to gain from it, and more.

This edition of the McKnight’s Newsmakers podcast is hosted by McKnight’s Executive Editor James M. Berklan from the floor of the Vision Centre’s third annual symposium.
