Residents of Covenant Village, Golden Valley, MN, recently said goodbye to dog Alta, who is beginning a new role as a service dog for the Mayo Clinic. Alta was trained by resident Emery Erickson (pictured with his wife, Rubye), who volunteers as a foster home trainer through Helping Paws, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs to individuals with physical disabilities.
