Del Webb and Valencia take half of the spots on 55places’ new top 10 list of best new U.S. active adult communities. Coming in at No. 2 is one of the Latitude Margaritaville communities, which have received much media attention over the past year and a half since the Jimmy Buffett-inspired communities of Minto Communities and Margaritaville Holdings were first announced.
The ratings were compiled using data from the U.S. Census Bureau and Multiple Listing Service as well as information about the communities, according to the website. Home sales, resident feedback, amenities, location, home variety and accessibility also factored into the list.
