Retirement Unlimited names Steve Wilkins executive director for The Wellington at Lake Manassas Community

Steve Wilkins was named executive director for The Wellington at Lake Manassas, a Retirement Unlimited Inc. community in Gainesville, VA.

In his 25-year career, Wilkins has held leadership positions in both the senior living industry and the Albemarle County Police Department. He received the 2019 Virginia Assisted Living Association Diamond Award for Assisted Living Administrator of the Year.

Silvercreek Living names Lori Eberharter new executive director

Lori Eberharter has been named executive director of Silvercreek Senior Assisted Living in Hailey, ID.

In her new role, Eberharter ensures compliance with Silvercreek’s quality standards, as well as state and federal regulations.

Silvercreek has remained COVID-19 free throughout the pandemic by maintaining the highest health standards.

Palm Cove Living names Amanda Norman executive director

Amanda Norman has been named executive director at Palm Cove Living, an assisted living and memory care community in Plant City, FL, under construction and expected to open in 2021 under Solinity management.

In her position, Norman will lead and direct the overall operation of the community.

She is a graduate of Florida State University.

The Capstone at Station Camp names two new directors

The Capstone at Station Camp, an Integral Senior Living community in Gallatin, TN, has named Nancy Halleck executive director and Steve Dycus as its director of sales and marketing.

Halleck brings more than 30 years of experience to her position. Over the years, she has held several positions, including director of activities, director of sales and marketing, executive director and regional director of operations.

Dycus brings more than 40 years of experience in upper management, communications and marketing to his new role. He holds an undergraduate degree in public health administration from Central Michigan University and a master’s degree in Christian education administration from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. 

Before joining The Capstone at Station Camp team, Dycus was the director of marketing and public relations at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN, and most recently as the director of marketing and community relations at a senior living community in Brentwood, TN. 

Legacy Ridge at Neese Road announces three appointments

Martin was introduced to senior living in 2009 during an internship, during which he provided direct care and administrative services. Since then, he has continued to work in both clinical and nonclinical roles within healthcare systems. He obtained an MBA with a concentration in healthcare administration.

Steiger began his career as a liaison for a home infusion and durable medical equipment company. Since then, he has worked in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute-care hospital marketing.

Williams has nearly 25 years of experience in the nursing field, most of it caring for older adults. She graduated from Louisiana Technical College with a diploma of practical nursing.

Kfir Kertes joins The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights as executive chef

Kfir Kertes has joined The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights, a 275-unit luxury seniors housing residence opening this summer in Brooklyn, NY, as executive chef. The $330 million property is one of five managed by Watermark Retirement Communities in its Elan Collection.

Kertes will direct all culinary operations, develop daily and seasonal menus, and work closely with nutritionists and dietitians to translate members’ tastes and preferences into attractive, nutritious options that will offer superior quality while addressing individual needs. He will create custom menus for the property opening and other special events.

He also will oversee hiring, onboarding and staff training for the food preparation personnel. Upon reaching full occupancy, The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights’ dining staff will total up to 75 people, including a kitchen crew of 30. 

The Watermark at Brooklyn Heights will offer several restaurant options, including a European-inspired casual cafe and bistro, an intimate library and wine bar, a two-story formal restaurant and bar, and a Mediterranean-inspired exhibition kitchen centered around a wood-burning brick hearth.

Prior to joining Watermark, Kertes was executive chef for Rockstar Hotels, Club Quarters and Z NYC Hotel, all in New York. He previously managed special projects in Africa and Israel and worked as a chef and manager for several Israeli hotels and restaurants. 

Tim Cook named new director of chaplains at Sycamore Springs

Tim Cook has been named director of the Chaplain Program for Legacy Senior Living, a Cleveland, TN-based senior living network serving six states.

In his new role, Cook will oversee the team of chaplains serving Legacy Senior Living’s family of 14 senior living facilities across the Southeast. He will be responsible for the spiritual integrity and daily operations of the organization’s extensive chaplaincy program, including assisting each facility in the selection of locally based chaplains.

Cook will be building on a foundation laid by his father, Pastor Phillip Cook, who organized the chaplaincy program and passed away suddenly in January. 

Cook previously was the associate pastor for worship arts at Lookout Valley Baptist Church in Chattanooga, TN.

Health Dimensions Group names Sharon Thole executive vice president of operations

Sharon Thole has been promoted to executive vice president of operations at Health Dimensions Group, a Minneapolis-based senior living, long-term care and post-acute care consulting and management firm serving almost 2,000 seniors in more than 30 communities in seven states.

Thole joined HDG in 2019. She has almost 20 years of experience leading and positioning senior living and post-acute organizations for operational and clinical success and sustainability.

In her new role, Thole provides guidance to regional directors and operations teams, interacts with boards and owners, ensures regulatory compliance, promotes quality care and employee experience, and oversees community financial performance. She also is a member of the organization’s executive leadership team. Among her new responsibilities, Thole leads HDG’s Coronavirus Task Force, overseeing the organization’s integrated response to COVID-19 in its managed care communities.

Thole was previously the director of originations for financing of health care facilities and senior housing at Love Funding, a Washington, D.C.-based HUD lender. She also held operations and business development positions with national organizations.

Thole earned an undergraduate degree in health care administration and gerontology from Minnesota State University of Moorhed. She earned a license from Minnesota Board of Nursing Facility Administrators and the South Dakota Board of Nursing Facility Administrators. She has served in numerous professional association leadership roles, including board member, committee member and task force member for the American Healthcare Association and Care Providers of Minnesota. She also served on the Maltreatment and Abuse Prevention Task Force for LeadingAge Minnesota.
