National Church Residences names Tara Aschenbrand, Adam Axcell to the C suite
Tara Aschenbrand has joined Columbus, OH-based National Church Residences as chief human resources officer, and Adam Axcell has joined as chief strategy and growth officer.
Aschenbrand most recently was vice president and associate general counsel at OhioHealth. She is the former president of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association and serves on the board of directors of Flying Horse Farms. She graduated with honors from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and the OSU Fisher College of Business.
Axcell most recently was general manager, leading the CVS Medicare Support Center. He holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and an undergraduate degree in business administration from Brock University.
Western States Lodging and Management promotes Dave Egbert to VP
Dave Egbert has been promoted to the position of vice president of operations, senior living, at Salt Lake City-based Western States Lodging and Management.
Egbert has almost 20 years of experience in the senior living and older adult healthcare field. With beginnings as a direct care provider, he has served in several leadership positions, most recently serving as executive director at WSLM’s Legacy Village of Sugar House.
Retirement Unlimited Inc. adds Jessica Fogg as VP of sales for northern region
Jessica Fogg has been named the vice president of the northern region for Retirement Unlimited Inc.
Fogg joins RUI with almost 30 years of experience in the field of senior living. She has held many sales-related positions, working her way up from move-in coordinator to a previously held senior vice president role at other senior living companies.
Rose Villa appoints Glen Lewis as next CEO
Glen Lewis has been appointed the new CEO at Rose Villa, a Portland, OR, continuing care retirement community. He will assume his new role April 2, succeeding Vassar Byrd, who was CEO for 17 years and now is CEO of The Kendal Corporation.
Lewis joins Rose Villa after almost 20 years in the senior living and hospitality industries. He most recently was the executive director at Des Moines, IA-based Edgewater, a WesleyLife community. He also previously was the executive director at an independent senior living community in Portland and at an Aegis Living community. While working in the hospitality industry, Lewis was general manager for various hotels in Colorado, Oregon and Wyoming.
Lewis attended the University of Pittsburgh and Southern New Hampshire University.
HealthPRO Heritage names Martha Stuart Williams COO
Martha Stuart Williams has been named the chief operating officer of Hunt Valley, MD-based HealthPRO Heritage, which provides therapy, wellness and consulting services to long-term care providers. She succeeds Jim Rogerson, who announced his retirement from the industry effective March 9 after 14 years as COO at the company.
Stuart Williams most recently held the role of president at Watershed Health. She received her PhD in human resource and leadership development at Louisiana State University, where she also received a Master of Science in public administration, a Master of Science in human resource and leadership development and a Bachelor of the Arts in political science.
Integral Senior Living adds Michael Salyers as executive director of Sage Valley Senior Living
Michael Salyers has been named the executive director of Sage Valley Senior Living, Pflugerville, TX
Salyers has worked in independent living, assisted living and memory care in the Austin, Houston and San Antonio, TX, markets and has been working in hospitality for 25 years in various leadership roles within the hotel industry. He is a graduate of the University of Houston.
Anthem Memory Care appoints Rose Bullers as community relations director for Elk Ridge
Rose Bullers has been named the community relations director at Elk Ridge, an Anthem Memory Care community in Maplewood, MN.
Bullers brings more than five years of senior living experience to her new position. She previously was sales director for NorBella Senior Living in Savage, MN, and Prior Lake, MN. She also formerly was sales manager for a Brookdale Senior Living community in Edina, MN.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and business from Flagler College.
Emerald Communities appoints Uche Okezie as newest board member
Uche Okezie has been appointed to the board of Redmond, WA-based Emerald Communities.
In her role on the board, Okezie will serve Emerald Communities, Emerald Heights and Heron’s Key for a three-year term. She also will attend seven board meetings annually, serve on one or more board committees and task forces, and collaborate for the good of the three organizations.
Okezie has almost two decades of project and relationship management experience in multifamily housing, government and not-for-profit organizations. She has worked in the not-for-profit sector both as an employee and as a board member.
She earned a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Washington and earned an undergraduate degree in urban planning from the University of New Orleans. She also has earned certificates in life coaching, coach training alliance and construction management.
Ohio Assisted Living Association names Victoria Gresh executive director
Victoria Gresh has been named the executive director of the Ohio Assisted Living Association.
Gresh is a certified association executive. In total, she has more than 28 years of nonprofit leadership experience in Ohio. She previously served as the executive director at the Ohio Physical Therapy Association for almost 12 years and as executive director at the Ohio Academy of Nursing Homes for seven years before that.
Health Dimensions Group tabs Jon Dittman as manager of consulting services
Jon Dittman has been named manager of consulting services at Health Dimensions Group.
Before joining HDG, Dittman worked for more than 15 years in healthcare purchasing, capital planning and medical supply management. He earned an undergraduate degree in English and literature from Metro State University and a Master of Arts degree in English language and literature in 2009 from the University of St. Thomas.
DIGroup Architecture adds Kate Haas and Debbie Koehler as associates
Kate Haas and Debbie Koehler have been hired as associates at DIGroup Architecture, which serves the senior living and other industries.
Haas has been with DIG for eight years. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has earned the following industry certifications and qualifications: certified interior designer – New Jersey; LEED AP; and National Council for Interior Design Qualification.
Koehler is an architecture engineering and construction industry veteran who has been leading the firm’s marketing and business development initiatives for almost six years. She is a University of Lynchburg graduate with an undergraduate degree in business management and Spanish.
Kepler Vision Technologies names Stephanie van Rosmalen chief marketing officer
Stephanie van Rosmalen has been named chief marketing officer at Kepler Vision Technologies, maker of well-being software for senior living and care facilities.
van Rosmalen joined Kepler Vision Technologies in 2021, initially working as a public relations and marketing consultant for the health tech company before being hired full time.
Priority Life Care gives awards at annual symposium
Priority Life Care recently recognized employees and communities whose service, dedication and commitment embody the company’s mission and helped drive its continued success and growth in 2023.
- Melissa Brandt Perrault of Celebration Villa in Shippensburg, PA, was honored as Executive Director of the Year. Perrault originally worked at Celebration Villa from 2012 to 2018, rejoined the community in 2021 and was named executive director in December 2022.
- Stephanie Suida of Independence Court in Quakertown, PA, was honored as Associate of the Year.
- Celebration Villa of Loyalsock, PA, was honored as Community of the Year for 2023.
Integral Senior Living honors 3 at annual awards ceremony
Integral Senior Living recognized two of its senior directors of sales and marketing and a director of sales and marketing at its annual awards ceremony last month.
Shannon Barker, the senior director of sales and marketing for The Capstone at Centerra, was recognized as the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year. Aubrey McClay, senior director of Sales and Marketing at The Capstone at Station Camp, and Jacob Harryman, director of Sales and Marketing at Foothill Village Senior living, both were recognized as ISL’s Rookies of the Year.
Barker joined The Capstone at Centerra community with 29 years of experience in operations, financial management and nursing. McClay joined The Capstone at Station Camp as director of sales and marketing this past summer. Harryman is director of sales and marketing at Foothill Village Senior Living.
