The fitness staff members of Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire, Illinois, have partnered with the non-profit organization National Institute for Fitness and Sport to support a more robust exercise program for the residents at the continuing care retirement community. Services such as senior fitness evaluations, exercise prescriptions and equipment orientations will remain in place.

Sedgebrook is home to almost 600 residents and offers more than 90 resident-driven clubs. NIFS will be supporting the fitness center, pool, and group exercise classes.

“The residents at Sedgebrook value and appreciate our emphasis on staying physically fit and healthy,” Cathy Swan, director of resident life at Sedgebrook, said in a statement.
