During a time often referred to as “The Great Resignation” in the senior living and other industries, the workers at IntegraCare’s senior living communities in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia are epitomizing the determination and work ethic at facilities known for the longevity of its workers.

“When great team members choose to stay and grow with IntegraCare, that tells me we are doing something right,” IntegraCare CEO Larry Rouvelas said. “Our mission has a three-dimensional focus. We focus on team members, residents and families.”

Resident Wellness Director-in-Training Marlee Mauthe joined the IntegraCare team a decade ago, shortly before her 18th birthday, and she has embraced opportunities to grow professionally at Newhaven Court at Clearview in Butler, PA, since she was hired.

She has worked in dining and wellness and then became a licensed practical nurse supervisor at the senior living community. When she started in the kitchen, IntegraCare even helped schedule her hours around her pursuit of a nursing license.

“You can definitely grow in the company,” Mauthe said. “Being at IntegraCare for so long, it made me realize nursing was the path that chose me. It’s a nice place for growth and a friendly environment at IntegraCare.”

Shannon Joyce, IntegraCare director of human resources and risk management, said that engagement is key for the company.

“From the moment we decide we want to bring someone to the team, we’re engaging them as a team member,” she said. “Everybody is doing the same program. You get a sense of IntegraCare and our family-style culture.”

Mauthe is only one example of employee longevity that IntegraCare points to.

The company has 887 employees, with five having worked at IntegraCare for 20 or more years and 78 others who have been with the company for 10 or more years.

IntegraCare Director of Talent Acquisition and Development Butch Cassiday is one of the employees who has been with the company for 20 years, during which time he has held multiple roles. Cassiday said that IntegraCare’s family values and the administrative team’s willingness to communicate is exhibited every day.
