Chelsea/Grand Rapids, MI-based Brio Living Services, formerly known as United Methodist Retirement Communities & Porter Hills, is the only long-term care provider among the top 101 companies named to the summer 2023 list of Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the Nation by the National Association for Business Resources.

“We are thrilled to receive recognition, as not only a Best and Brightest organization in West

Michigan for the 21st year in a row, but also a Best and Brightest organization in the nation,” Brio Living Services Chief Human Resources Officer Michelle Henderson said in a statement. “This honor is a direct reflection of our team members at Brio Living Services who help deliver on our mission each day: Welcoming all, partnering together, enriching lives.”

The competition identifies and honors organizations that are deemed to display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment. Organizations are assessed on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition and retention.

“Those companies that made the list of Best and Brightest Companies to Work For, as well as those companies that continue to make the list, are truly remarkable,” said Jennifer Kluge, president and CEO of NABR and The Best and Brightest Program. “Given today’s need for talent, retention of talent, and the further issues related to the pandemic, these companies have proven they are superior to market conditions.”

This year’s Best and Brightest winners will be honored at the in-person 2023 Best and Brightest National Summit held Sept. 27 and 28 in Detroit and will be featured in the online edition of Corp! Magazine and in the Wall Street Journal.
