Presbyterian Homes & Services president and CEO Dan Lindh announces retirement 

Presbyterian Homes & Services President and CEO Dan Lindh has announced his upcoming retirement after a career of more than 47 years with the Saint Paul, MN-based organization. The board has launched a national search for the next CEO and projects that the leadership transition will be completed by spring 2025.

Lindh joined PHS in 1976 as an accountant. Over time, he served as chief financial officer, chief administrative officer, head of project development and chief operating officer prior to being named president and CEO in 1996.

Zoe Weinrobe has been promoted to chief of real estate at 2Life Communities. She formerly was director of real estate.

Prior to joining 2Life in 2016, Weinrobe was vice president at Recap Real Estate Advisors, working with public housing authorities across the country on conversions through HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration program, including both renovations and new construction projects.

Weinrobe has a master’s degree in city planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated with honors from Cornell University.

National Church Residences names Kelli Meyung VP of senior living operations

Kelli Meyung has returned to Columbus, OH-based National Church Residences as vice president of senior living operations. She will direct operations for three Ohio-based and two Florida-based continuing care retirement communities.

Meyung comes to the organization with more than 30 years in the senior living industry, including her role at one of Florida’s largest senior communities, where she was the senior director of healthcare. She previously served as National Church Residences’ vice president of operations design for the senior living division before undertaking an entrepreneurial journey in 2021.

Meyung began her career as an occupational therapist and then served as a nursing home administrator before moving into assisted living and memory care operations. She holds a certified change management practitioner certification and earned her undergraduate degree in healthcare administration from Franklin University.

Carol Pickard has been named campus executive director of Sonrisa Senior Living, Roseville, CA. The community just expanded to include assisted living and memory care in addition to independent living.

Pickard joins Sonrisa after years leading operations at Sacramento’s largest senior living communities, including ACC Senior Services, Adventist Health and Rideout, Milestone Retirement Communities and Emeritus Senior Living.

Pickard is a member of the LeadingAge legislative cabinet and serves on the employment development committee for the California Assisted Living Association. She also serves as an advisory council member of Area 4 Agency on Aging.

WellAge names Lauren Hart executive director of Jackson Creek Senior Living

Lauren Hart has been named executive director of Jackson Creek Senior Living, Monument, CO. 

Hart’s career includes roles as a business office manager in memory care and assisted living, then advancing to the position of human resources director at a skilled nursing facility and subsequently serving as associate executive director at a Brookdale Senior Living community.

Hart is an alumna of the University of Phoenix, graduating in 2022 with an MBA. She also has an undergraduate degree in human resource management.

Amanda Bernardo has been named director of public affairs and community relations at Hebrew SeniorLife

Bernardo most recently was chief of staff and chief strategy officer at the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, where she managed critical agency functions, led communications efforts, and supported strategic initiatives. Previously, she was director of operations for the Kennedy for Massachusetts campaign and also held key positions with Representative Denise C. Garlick and the Joint Committee on Elder Affairs.

Bernardo holds a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Loyola University Maryland.

Blakeford Senior Life promotes 1, adds 2

Blakeford Senior Life has hired Stephen Williams as its new sales counselor and Casey Stocklin as its new independent living life enrichment coordinator. The company also announced the promotion of Katelyn Morales to WellLife manager.

Williams brings with him more than a decade of experience working in the senior living industry. His role consists of working with potential residents and families as they explore the care options of a continuing care retirement community, including independent living, assisted living and memory care.

Prior to joining the team, Stocklin worked in the residential treatment setting. She brings eight years of experience to her new role.

Morales has been with Blakeford since 2021 after working for another CCRC in the area. At that time, she joined Blakeford as the independent life enrichment coordinator.

Courtney Johnson has been named director of sales and marketing at The Preserve, Fort Myers, FL. 

Johnson began her career with seniors in 2016 as a certified nursing assistant. In addition, she has experience in directorial positions within assisted living and memory care communities in the Southwest Florida area.

In 2021, Johnson earned her undergraduate degree in gerontology from the University of Nebraska Omaha and an undergraduate degree in business administration at the same university. She is a Florida certified nursing assistant, is certified in CPR and is a CORE-certified assisted living administrator.

California Assisted Living Association names Ron Mead board chair

Ron Mead, vice president of operations for Senior Resources Group, has been appointed the board chair of the California Assisted Living Association

Mead, who joined Senior Resource Group in 1990 and is based in San Diego, oversees SRG’s communities with a particular focus on food and beverage management. 

The newly appointed CALA officers joining Mead include Vice Chair David Eskenazy, CEO of Cogir Management USA.; Treasurer Laura Fischer, regional vice president of operations for Brookdale Senior Living; Secretary Courtney Siegel, president and CEO of Oakmont Management Group; and past board Chair Danielle Morgan, president and chief operating officer of Clearwater Living.

The LeadingAge New Jersey & Delaware 2024 Awards Program, set for Feb. 7, will recognize the ways that recipients are making a difference in the lives of older adults and colleagues as well as in their local communities. 

Martin Klein, president and CEO at Seashore Gardens Living Center, will receive the association’s most prestigious honor, the President’s Award. He has had a 50-plus year career of service and achievement in the field of aging services.

The Excellence in Care Award, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate “extraordinary talent, expertise and dedication in provision of exceptional service to residents,” will be given to:

Kudman Trachten Aloe Posner LLP has announced the opening of a new office in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and the addition of white-collar criminal defense lawyer Tama Beth Kudman, who will be dividing her time between Florida and New York.

Kudman focuses her national practice on government enforcement, corporate compliance, internal investigations, state and federal criminal and white-collar litigation, False Claims Act defense and complex commercial litigation. She has experience in the defense of criminal, civil and administrative matters, with a concentration in the area of healthcare. 

Kudman most recently was a partner of Pietragallo Gordon Alfano Bosick & Raspanti LLP and co-chair of its Government Enforcement, Compliance & White-Collar litigation group.
