Erickson Senior Living promotes Gregg Colon to COO

Gregg Colon has been promoted to chief operating officer at Erickson Senior Living. He succeeds Debra Doyle, who is retiring after a 22-year career with Erickson.

Colon joined Erickson in 2012 as the vice president of continuing care. In 2014, he became part of Erickson’s corporate executive team as senior vice president of health services. 

Colon is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Georgetown University.

United Methodist Communities names Travis Gleinig VP of innovation

Travis Gleinig has been named vice president of innovation for United Methodist Communities

Gleinig was hired in 2012 as the senior IT support technician and later held positions including information security analyst (2016), manager of information technology (2017), corporate director of IT (2019) and, most recently, corporate director of IT and chief information officer.

Gleinig served with distinction in the US Army National Guard, managing teams and ensuring operational readiness for Blackhawk UH-60 helicopters. In 2022, he was honored as the LeadingAge NJ Innovator of the Year.

Claiborne Senior Living names Susan Lingo VP of clinical services

Susan Lingo has been named vice president of clinical services at Claiborne Senior Living

Lingo has more than 25 years of experience serving older adults. Her former roles include vice president of wellness for Pathway to Living, vice president at Enlivant and senior regional director of care services at Emeritus Senior Living.

Buckner names Amy Shields executive director of Parkway Place

Amy Shields has been named executive director of Parkway Place by Buckner Retirement Services

Shields has spent the entirety of her 25-year career in senior living serving in the Houston area. Most recently, she held the position of CEO at St. Dominic Village. Before that, she was a licensed facility administrator for Sava Senior Care for 14 years.

Shields holds an undergraduate degree in social work from Texas State University and is a licensed nursing facility administrator and licensed baccalaureate social worker.

Angela Winks has been named wellness program manager of Heron’s Key, a member of Emerald Communities in Gig Harbor, WA. 

Winks comes to the life plan community with more than 13 years of experience in the health and wellness industry. She spent much of her career working as a personal trainer, fitness director, holistic health coach and Next STEP program director at various locations throughout Washington state. 

Winks earned an undergraduate degree in exercise science and kinesiology from Concordia University.

Morning Pointe at Happy Valley hires several directors

Morning Pointe at Happy Valley, opening soon in Rossville, GA, has hired Teresa Whited as life enrichment director to oversee activities in assisted living, Hannah Dahany as Lantern program director to oversee activities in memory care, Ellen Vitorino as food services director and Eli Gaines as maintenance director.

The new campus will offer 58 assisted living apartments and 24 memory care apartments.

Jill Stott, executive director of Silver Birch Living of Terre Haute in Indiana, has been selected to join the Indiana Assisted Living Association Board of Directors. 

Stott previously served on the Indiana Board of Healthcare Administrators, the Indiana Health Care Association, the American College of Health Care Administrators and LeadingAge. Her career spans almost 40 years. 

Perkins Eastman adds four to executive committee

Perkins Eastman has named Stephanie Kingsnorth and Jeff Young to the executive committee as executive directors and Paul Grillo and Salema Gumbs as ex officio members.

Kingsnorth is an architect based in Los Angeles and a leader of the firm’s colleges and universities practice. She brings more than 25 years of experience devoted to the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of existing buildings for civic and higher education clients, including the owners of libraries, student unions and student residences

Young, co-managing principal of the Pittsburgh studio, joined Perkins Eastman in 2014. The Pittsburgh Business Times names him among the “Top 20 Professionals to Know in Construction and Architecture.”

Serving as principal and chief financial officer, Grillo’s career in managing professional service businesses spans 43 years.

Gumbs, principal and director of human resources, has spent 23 years of her career at Perkins Eastman in New York City.
