Senior living review service Seniorly has announced the 334 senior living communities recognized in its annual Best of Senior Living Awards program. The San Francisco-based online platform said it chose the winners after analyzing 500,000 online reviews across 60,000 communities.
The company partnered with generative data company Skypoint to compile the list based on six categories of resident experience: cleanliness, dining services, staff ratings, value, care services and overall resident satisfaction. To qualify for the awards, communities had to be in the top 2% of consumer sentiment ratings, be free of licensing violations for the past 36 months and have no evidence of negative media coverage for the last 24 months.
“There are so many negative stories about senior living in the media, so it’s important to recognize the players who are doing an exceptional job,” Seniorly CEO Arthur Bretschneider stated. “Finding the right fit for senior living can be hard, but awards like this make it easier for families to recognize quality care.”
Inspir Carnegie Hall in New York City earned the top spot among the senior living communities analyzed, followed by The Bristal at Wayne, Wayne, NJ; Anthology of Natick, Natick, MA; Crestavilla in Laguna Niguel, CA, and Casa De Manana La Jolla, CA. Rounding out the top 10 communities were Acoya Troon in Scottsdale, AZ; Conservatory at Plano, TX; Corso Atlanta, GA; Sunrise of Schaumburg, IL, and American House Livonia, MI.
California had the most award winners, 104. The second closest was Texas, with 33,000 communities on the list. By comparison, Alabama, Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Oklahoma and South Carolina made the list with just one award-winning community in each state.
