Juniper Communities wins Tech Awards Gold with website making Virtual Connections

When real estate investment trust LTC Properties approached Juniper Communities, one its operators, back in March offering support at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, a bright idea virtually popped into the head of Juniper founder and CEO Lynne Katzmann, Ph.D. That bright idea has won Gold in the activities category of the Senior Living track of the 2020 McKnight’s Excellence in Technology Awards.

Frontline workers must be priority for COVID-19 resources, groups say; Juniper to test all residents, staff

The safety and well-being of frontline workers in senior living and skilled nursing must be prioritized in order to ensure that older adults receive the care they need and that the spread of COVID-19 is minimized, leaders of professional organizations serving the industry said in a unified message released Thursday. Meanwhile, also on Thursday, Bloomfield, NJ-based Juniper Communities said it had begun testing all residents and employees for COVID-19 at the communities it owns.
